Receipts in.Peachtree files out.
Ledger is our own product for Ethiopian accounting practices. It reads the receipts, invoices and tax forms they collect, checks every field, and writes the files Peachtree imports.

[ THE PROBLEM ]
Practices keep their clients’ books in Peachtree. Every receipt is typed into Excel, then typed again into Peachtree. The second step takes the most time.
[ WHAT WE BUILT ]
A pipeline that reads each document when it arrives, a review screen where a person corrects and approves it, and an export that writes Peachtree’s own import files.
Upload, check, approve, export.
- 01 UPLOAD
Upload
Photos, PDFs and receipt links, any time, during the day’s work.
- 02 READ
Read
Each document is classified, then its fields are read into a fixed set for its type.
- 03 CHECK
Check
Every field is checked against the image, the sums are redone in code, and doubtful fields are flagged.
- 04 EXPORT
Export
One client company, one period: a CSV per Peachtree template, plus an Excel copy.
Review beside the photo
The receipt stays in view next to its fields, labelled in English and Amharic, each one editable in place.
Nothing exports unapproved
Export stops and lists every record in scope that a person hasn’t approved.
Models never fill a gap
A missing value goes to a person. Corrections become the current value, and the old one is kept.
Registry checks
Company names come from the TIN registry, not the page, and a receipt’s machine code is checked with ERCA.
[ SCOPE ]
- 01
Reading pipeline
Upload, page preparation, classification, extraction and verification, each a separate stage on its own queue.
- 02
Peachtree mapping
Field rules taken from Sage 50’s import specs, so the files import through Peachtree’s own Import/Export.
- 03
Tax files
Each export also writes the TASS and e-tax purchase and sale files a practice files every month.
- 04
Practice workspace
Client companies, team roles with invitations, batches of photos, and an audit log of every change.
